Today we watched a movie that explained and showed the process of Mitosis.
Remember:
- mitosis occurs in somatic cells (body cells)
- it begins with a diploid cell and you end up with 2 diploid daughter cells (preserves chromosome nmber).
- mitosis is for growth and repair
- multicellular organisms all do mitosis (plants and animals)

Read the handout I gave you on Binary Fission and complete the 5 questions.
Tomorrow we will  look at the cell cycle and mitosis in more detail. Oh Boy!
