Today we reviewed some homework sheets and discussed how the process of Photosynthesis and Cellular respiration are related to one another. We also filled in a graphic organizer to help us study for the test.
No homework tonight.
Tomorrow we will do the unit test review in class.

Today we finished our notes on cellular respiration. We saw that cellular respiration can be quite complicated and it has 3 steps. Cellular respiration can be done with or without oxygen, however when it takes place in the presence of oxygen, the process can make up to 36 ATP for the cell to use as energy! Below you will find the Cellular Respiration notes.
Homework:Please finish the DR on cellular respiration (use your textbook) and the word scramble if you did not complete them during class today.

Hopefully the video today on Photosynthesis helped you review the process of photosynthesis. We are now ready to move on to Cellular Respiration. Remember this is when living organisms break down glucose into a useable compound called ATP.
I hope you finished the photosynthesis questions in the packet in class because I do not want you to have homework. Remember, you only had to do Part 2. Not part 1. If you did not finish, pleae do so by Monday.

Now we are ready to learn about photosynthesis and cellular respiration in more detail. Today we took notes detailing what happens in the light dependent and light independent reactions (Calvin Cycle) in photosynthesis.
Tonight: Finish the DR on Photosynthesis. You will need to use section 9.2 in your textbook to find the answers.

Finish Part 1 of the Benchmark II review that you picked up in class today.
Tomorrow I will collect it and go over it. We will also be reviewing the transport test.
Then we will start part 2 of Benchmark review. Oh what fun!
Benchmark II is Tuesday December 6th.
Benchmark II Topics:
scientific method
scientific method/notation
water
biomolecules
enzymes
vitamins and minerals
cells organelles
eukaryotes, prokaryotes, archaea bacteria
Transport (Osmosis ad Diffusion)
