Today we talked about classificaton and how living organisms are classified. Please complete the worksheet in shark identification using the dichotomous key provided.  We will begin Ecology tomorrow.  This will take us through April and then we start reviewing for the HSA. Fun, Fun!

I still have 8 people to make up the Benchmark from yesterday. When make-ups are complete I will send dthe test cards to the BOE for scoring.

Benchmark III tomorrow

Complete the review worksheet on Protein synthesis. Keep in mind that you look up codons, NOT anticodons. We will review for Benchmark III starting tomorrow.  The exam it self is next week on the 29th.

Study for the test tomorrow. It is on Evolution/Natural Selection. 
Wednesday we will begin reviewing for Benchmark III. This county wide test will be administered 3/29.
 It will include:
 Asexual/Sexual Reproduction, Genetics, DNA and Protien Synthesis.

This allows us an extra day to review for Benchmark III which is March 29th.  Both tests will be entered as 4th quarter grades.

We will have a test next Wednesday the 23rd, on natural selection and evolution.

If you are taking the 3rd quarter re-test then you need to study tonight.

Finish the multiple choice questions only in Applying Genetic Knowledge packet. Do not do the BCR's.

If you did not finish your questions from the Gel electophoresis lab we did today in class, please finish them.

3rd quarter retake test is Friday. It can replace one test grade from third quarter. It covers all 3rd quarter material.

Next week we will start to talk about genetic engineering and some genetic disorders. We will not test on this small section. However, there will be at least 1-2 questions on the HSA regarding this information.

Friday March 11 there will a re-test offered. The retest will cover asexual/sexual reproduction/genetics/DNa/protein synthesis.  If you opt to take it, it can can replace one test grade from this (3rd) quarter.
The following week we will begin our review for Benchmark 3.

Tutoring is this Saturday March 5 from 8-11 in J203. We will cover 3rd quarter topics.
